This paper presents the possibilities of a practical
poetic-geographical approach as an audio-visual draft
guided by
Ukrainian prose and poetry. One layer of the
theoretical base of this
paper is build on the reflection of the relationship
between
geography and literature in the history of geography
as an academic
discipline – through examples of literary and artistic
practice in
geography. A second layer is formed by working out the
relationship
between art and geography in the realm of
phenomenology and
post-structuralism. The following artistic-scientific
approach is
guided by literature from the Ukraine and presents a
possibility of
poetic-geographical practice employing experience,
aesthetics,
feelings, emotion and performance in an audiovisual part
and extracts
of texts contextualizing the
video clips.
